Big Names are Going to Get Big Competition

Look around you, how many people currently have their iphones or blackberries attached at their hips and how many of them are currently using them? See, its amazing how much of an impact new cell phone technology has had in society. And look how successful companies such as Macintosh and Blackberry have become from the innovation of their phones throughout the years. Unfortunately for them, they'll need to split the market into a third direction come September 23rd with the release of Googles new cell phone. They're basing the phone on the new Android type, which will make it accessible for everyone. Man this is going to be big....for some.
To me, a phone is merely a phone. Its used to call from one person to another, right? So why is everyone so attached to their iphones and in love with themselves on facebook that they need to either be on it with their laptop, or with their cell phone. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe this world does depend on us being on Facebook every other hour of every single day or else everything in this universe will melt (which i highly highly doubt). Things have been spiraling out of control in the technology market over the last 10 years, and now its google coming out with a phone that is supposedly able to have the touch-screen capabilities of the iphone, along with a flip out keyboard, while all using Googles network to run the internet. So in the end, all of this is getting quite ridiculous in my viewpoint. However, competition is competition and that's how our market survives. Wow I love this world and it's obsession with technology.

Everyone loves technology. It makes our life easier. Or does it? I totally agree with my man greezy. How is having to check facebook every 30 minutes a convenience? I currently have a blackberry and i wont lie i hate having the facebook application. It was nice a first but know it is a thorn in my side. I'm with my friends and don't care about what going on with my email or facebook. I'll check that later. For now all i want to do is use my phone to text and talk.

Life is fast. People are trying to get in as many things as they can into their schedules as possible. Technology makes this much easier. Now instead of taking a minute to call someone, you can text them in about 15 seconds. WOW, now you have an extra 45 seconds in your day. Add up all the time new technology saves you and its a lot! The world is moving forward and it is not waiting around for people to catch up. Facebook is just another communication source. that saves people time and money if the don't have a cell phone or don't want to pay for texting. Technology is a wonderful gift. So embrace it!

Technology is wonderful. No doubt about it. However we are losing our personal touch with people these days. A text message is impersonal and many times much slower then talking on the phone. Sure a single question can be faster over text, but as the questions add up the length quickly expands to far beyond 15 seconds per message. Technology has made us impersonal to a degree and we need to take a step back and look at ourselves. Is the phone in the ear necissary? Should be be texting in class? Or worse texting during a real face to face conversation?
